What Happened by Hillary Clinton
Chapter One: Showing Up
Deep breath. Feel the air fill my lungs. This is the right thing to do. The country needs to see that our democracy still works, no matter how painful this is. Breathe out. Scream later.
My thoughts:
I am completely caught up in this book. She is so angry and I love that she is finally showing her anger. I have been watching the political pundits say that she just needs to give it a rest. But I don’t agree. She needs to voice her disappointment and anger! The American people need to know how retched the 2016 election really was.
I purchased this book earlier in the week. Haven’t started it yet, but I have heard the NPR interview about the book. I am looking forward to reading about her campaign experience in her own words. I’m almost as angry as she is.

In a coincidence, as I am reading your blog post, Hillary is being interviewed by Rachel Maddow on TV. It breaks my heart that she lost and Trump won. Guess I’d better read the book, though it will likely make me mad, too. Friday Quotes at the bottom of the review

Hi Kendal,
I am really curious about this book, as I don’t really know enough about Hillary myself, but anyone would have been better than Trump! She sounds so strong!

I am glad you are finding the book interesting. I don’t do memoirs. I’m featuring Sleep Like a Baby by Charlaine Harris this week. Happy reading!
